The more you can understand your figures, decipher some of the financial jargon and implement good practice into your day/week/month with the topics you’ll learn on my course, the more those figures will be less #FFS and more insightful – telling the BEST story about your business to help make decisions based on real numbers and build a successful business from all your hard work

“Meeting Teresa has been a godsend. She has straightened out my accounts in a way I can understand them. No question is a silly question and you know you'll get an honest answer. I have been with Teresa for some years now and wouldn't look elsewhere" - Leah

"Before meeting Teresa I was pretty stressed about tax and accounting. I thought of myself as competent at maths, but in running my own business I found that accounting has many laws of it's own that I knew nothing about and I was worried I wasn't going to complete my return properly" - Charlie

“A lot of people say that they find tax daunting ......but getting the right accountant is so important. Teresa breaks everything down into words rather than figures, which makes my accounts simple to understand. I feel that I know more about my business finances than I did before" - Tanya

I remember when I was at secondary school, aged 14, and my favourite subject was Maths (it had to be really?!).

My maths teached liked me because I was easy to teach. In fact, she was almost a little complacent with how she taught the class because each lesson nearly every pupil would look like a rabbit in headlights as she sent them off to complete the exercise on the maths topic she'd just "taught".

Of the 30-odd kids, only me and one other boy "got it", so for the next 10 minutes we'd do a better job of teaching the rest of the class what the teacher couldn't explain in a way they understood.

"Taking someone from a confused state about numbers and seeing their face when they have that light bulb moment and smile at the realisation that they understand is PRICELESS. It's something I've loved from those younger years, right through to now, when I share my insights and work out the best ways to help clients understand their financials. Giving clients those "ah-ha" moments and the empowerment and clarity to build a stronger business because they know their numbers is such an amazing feeling."

Teresa is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA), and has been for over 20 years. She holds a practice licence with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Teresa also has a BSc Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance, A levels in Maths (of course she does!) and top grades in her GSCEs.

She’s worked with small businesses for over 10 years and is a huge believer that numbers are not some black magic that few people understand. She’s also the most unconventional accountant – no grey cardigan or boring suit in sight; instead she’s known for her black curly hair and flash of a blonde streak (or two), with a wardrobe full of fun clothes and the funkiest shoes! She’s a petrol head, loves a spot of gardening, playing with her 2 new kittens or relaxing with her husband and enjoying the odd G&T. That said, she loves a good book, can’t live without her calculator and gets all excited over Excel spreadsheets 🤪
